Privacy policy

Last updated: 17 September 2026

The short version

  • We collect what we need to book you in, look after your hair and get paid. That's it.
  • We never sell your information.
  • We only share photos of your hair if you've said yes.
  • You can ask to see, fix or delete what we hold about you at any time.
  • Questions? Email info@highendzhair.com.au or call (02) 9072 9077.

Who we are

High Endz Hair is two shops on Botany Road, Zetland:

  • High Endz Hair Barbershop, Shop 6, 305 Botany Road, Zetland NSW 2017
  • High Endz Hair, Shop 104/305 Botany Road, Zetland NSW 2017

In this policy, "we" and "us" means High Endz Hair and both shops.

What we collect

When you book. Your name, mobile number and email, the service you've booked, who you're booked with, and your past appointments. Online bookings run through Ovatu, our booking system.

When you're in the chair. Notes that help us get your hair right next time, like a colour formula or how you like your fade. If you tell us about an allergy, a sensitivity or a scalp condition, we may note that too, so we can keep you safe.

When you book for your kids. Your details as the parent or guardian, and your child's first name.

When you pay. Card payments go through Square. We don't see or keep your full card number. We keep a record of what you paid for.

When you get in touch. Whatever you send us through the contact form on our website, by email, by phone, or in a message on Instagram or Facebook.

When you visit our website. Our website runs on Shopify. Like most websites, it uses cookies to work properly and to record things like the pages you visit, the device and browser you use, and roughly where you are. We may also use Google Analytics to see how people use the site, and Google and Meta advertising tools to see which of our ads lead to bookings. If you sign up for emails or create an account on our website, we keep your name and email.

Photos. Only with your permission. More on that below.

You can ask us a general question without telling us who you are. To book an appointment, we need a name and a way to reach you.

What we use it for

  • To book your appointments and keep you updated about them
  • To do your hair safely and consistently, visit after visit
  • To take payment and keep the records the tax office requires
  • To answer your questions
  • To send you the odd update about our shops, if you've said yes
  • To understand how our website is used and whether our ads are working

We won't use your information for anything else without asking you first, unless the law requires or allows it.

Photos of your hair

It's your hair, so it's your call. We always ask before we take a photo of your hair to share, and we only post it if you've said yes.

  • For anyone under 18, we ask a parent or guardian.
  • Changed your mind? Tell us and we'll take the photo down from our website and our social media accounts. We can't pull back anything already printed or reshared by other people.

Emails and texts

We'll message you about your appointments, because that's part of the service.

We only send news and marketing to people who've said yes, or to existing clients where the law allows it. Every message includes an easy way to unsubscribe, or you can just tell us to stop.

Who we share it with

We never sell your information. We only share it with the services that help us run the shops, and only what they need:

  • Ovatu, for bookings
  • Square, for card payments
  • Shopify, for our website, contact form and email signups
  • Google, for website analytics and advertising
  • Meta (Facebook and Instagram), for advertising, and for messages you send us there

We'll also share information if the law requires it, or if it's needed to protect someone's safety.

Information stored outside Australia

Some of these services store or process information overseas, including in the United States and Canada. We use established providers that have their own privacy and security commitments.

Cookies

Cookies are small files your browser saves so a website works properly and remembers you. You can block or delete them in your browser settings, but some parts of our website may not work as well without them.

To stop Google Analytics recording your visits, install Google's opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. To change the ads Meta shows you, go to the ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram settings.

Keeping it safe

Only our team can see your client record, and only when they need to. The services we use protect your information with security measures like encryption.

We keep your client record for as long as you're coming to see us. When we no longer need something, we delete it. Some records, like payment records, we have to keep for a set time by law.

Seeing, fixing or deleting your information

Email info@highendzhair.com.au and ask. You can:

  • Get a copy of the information we hold about you
  • Fix anything that's wrong or out of date
  • Ask us to delete it

We'll reply within 30 days. We may need to check it's really you first. If there's something we have to keep by law, we'll tell you what and why.

If something goes wrong

If your information is ever exposed in a way that could seriously harm you, we'll tell you as soon as we can, along with what we're doing about it and what you can do.

Complaints

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, email info@highendzhair.com.au and tell us what happened. We'll look into it and reply within 30 days.

If you're still not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.

Changes to this policy

When the way we handle information changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Before our online shop opens, for example, we'll add how we handle orders and delivery.
