A haircut should never feel like a transaction

Our goal is simple

To deliver work we are proud of, help our clients feel confident, and create an experience that makes people genuinely happy.

We want every client to feel that the person cutting their hair genuinely cares how they look and how they feel when they leave. For us this is not just a job. It is a chance to have a positive impact on someone, and that is the whole reason we do it.

Why Zetland, and where the name comes from

We looked for a long time. It had to be close enough that the clients we already had could still reach us, and it had to be somewhere going somewhere. Zetland was both, and we both had a good feeling about it.

High end, because that is the standard we hold ourselves to. The z, because we wanted it to be ours.

A hairdresser and a barber

Candice, Head Stylist

I started when I was sixteen and did my apprenticeship at a salon in Castle Hill. I always wanted to do hair, from very early on.

I loved the idea of making people feel good about themselves. Being creative. And listening, because sometimes people need someone to talk to.

Juan, Head Barber

I started cutting hair in Colombia when I was fourteen. There was no big plan behind it. It began casually, with friends, almost as a bit of fun.

I studied civil works and chose this instead, because it was a skill I already had. What keeps me going is seeing how happy someone is when they get a great haircut.

Textured, curly and afro hair

Our barbers cut textured, curly and afro hair. Tapers, line ups, high tops, every week. Not every barber does, and if that is your hair, you already know it.

Shop 104. Women and girls. By appointment, and colour consultations are free.

Seven days at the barbershop, from opening

From opening, the barbershop runs until 7pm Friday and 10am to 5pm Sunday. The salon is Monday to Saturday.
